Free to attend, the Eureka Springs Yards and Yards of Yard Sales is the mother of all yard sales. This annual sale is sought by many from near and far and offers a full weekend of treasure hunting. Even though you will find folks setting up shop all over the city, looking for that special item couldn’t be simpler. The Greater Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce will provide maps of each yard sale location. Download a copy from their website or stop in various local Eureka Springs businesses to pick up a copy. The annual Eureka Springs Yards and Yards of Yard Sales will be held this year on August 4th & 5th from 7:00am to 3:00pm.
Working you way through town and stopping at all of the yard sale sites can really work up a hunger. Be sure to take some time to refuel at one of the 100 restaurants you will find in the area. The cuisine and spirits available in our little corner of the world are diverse and plentiful. Mexican, Italian, Thai, barbecue, Chinese, steak, burgers, southern-comfort foods and farm-to-table are just some of the delicious cuisines you will find here in Eureka Springs. An interesting fact about Eureka Springs is that of all of the restaurants you will find here, only three are chains. Since all of downtown is part of the National Register of Historic Places, chain businesses of all kinds are not permitted in the downtown area. That means you are getting the finest Eureka Springs has to offer just about anywhere you go.
