Opera in the Ozarks

Just a few miles outside of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, is Opera in the Ozarks, a unique training program for aspiring opera singers and home to an Opera Festival each summer. Situated at Inspiration Point, “a mountainous place not too many miles from Heaven”, Opera in the Ozarks overlooks the White River valley and the distant Ozark mountains. It is a stunning place to witness opera.

Opera in the Ozarks grew from a Fine Arts camp held during the summer 1950. Its founders quickly decided to focus on opera and music drama, and after decades of tweaking and fine-tuning, Opera in the Ozarks was born in 1993. All performers are students, and the alumni of Opera in the Ozarks have performed at all the major opera houses in the world.
