Nature in Eureka Springs

The town of Eureka Springs is full of beauty. The old, historic buildings and Victorian mansions that line the streets are nothing short of breathtaking. But Eureka Springs is also surrounded by the great beauty of Mother Nature and there are so many different ways to experience it in this small corner of the world we love to call home. Here are just a few of our favorite ways to experience Eureka Springs nature.

Blue Spring Heritage Center

The Blue Spring Heritage Center offers the beauty of Mother Nature as well as important history. Here you will enjoy beautiful winding paths through several native gardens and the wonder of the great Blue Spring. You’ll be able to connect with the land that the Cherokees once inhabited during the Trail of Tears. Get a glimpse into Native American history that once impacted the very land you are standing on.

Beaver Lake

Beaver Lake provides nature-lovers with all sorts of activities. Hiking, biking, swimming and enjoying the serenity of the outdoors are just a few reasons why people love to spend time at Beaver Lake. Pack a picnic and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you at Beaver Lake. Nestled high in the Ozark Mountains, Beaver Lake is the perfect place for some good ‘ol fashioned r&r.

Onyx Cave Park

Onyx Cave offers a beautiful and awe-inspiring subterranean stroll. The steps and ramps that are in place make this adventure a non-strenuous walk beneath the Earth’s surface. Give yourself the gift of a 30 minute self-guided tour in the park and be amazed at the the forces of nature at work in the cave. And just six miles east of town, getting out into nature is easy.

Basin Spring Park

Basin Spring Park is nature located right here in town. Sometimes you don’t have to travel far to enjoy the beauty and serenity of nature. Located in the heart of the Historic District, Basin Spring Park is an extraordinary escape just steps from wherever you are in Eureka Springs. Basin Spring Park also hosts many of the town’s events – dancing, drumming and multiple music events are held right here in Basin Spring Park. Enjoying the great outdoors doesn’t get much easier than this.
