Eureka Springs Events to Attend This Spring

We are well underway into the New Year and are counting down to some exciting Eureka Springs events happening this spring.  Spring in Eureka Springs brings on warmer temperatures and some of the events we look forward to each year.  From the May Festival of the Arts to the annual Mustang Weekend, get ready for a season full of fun.

The 39th Annual Springtime in the Ozarks kicks off the season on April 16th through the 19th.  This year’s theme will be “willingness, honesty and open mindedness” Happening at the Best Western Inn of the Ozarks, there will be speakers, an ice cream social and a dance and bingo on both Friday and Saturday nights.  Pre-registration must be received no later than April 1st.

Another popular Eureka Springs event back this year is the Eureka Springs Indie Film Fest, April 23rd through the 25th.  This annual event promotes and encourages independent film makers and celebrates the art of film making in the community.  There is an award ceremony with 3 finalists in each category.  Awards include Best in Category, Best Cinematography, Best Young Filmmaker and Best Soundtrack just to name a few.  Guests can purchase a 1 day pass, 3 day pass or a ticket just for the awards.

May is quite a busy month for Eureka Springs events.  All month long, the town celebrates the May Festival of the Arts.  There are art exhibits, artist receptions, gallery strolls, free concerts in the park and the popular White Street Studio Walk.  If you love music, you will enjoy The Ozarks Chorale concert on May 9th at 7:30pm at The Auditorium.  Their library consists of Classical, Jazz, Pop, Gospel and Musical Theater.  Also at The Auditorium this May is John Two Hawks.  This special Mother’s Day concert on May 10th will be from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.  All moms will get in free!

Car enthusiasts will enjoy the 21St Annual Mustang Weekend  on May 23rd.  Cars will be on exhibit at Pine Mountain Village from 9:00am to 4:00pm.  There will also be a PT Cruisers weekend in May from the 1st through the 3rd.

To purchase a one of a kind piece of art this spring, there will a Spring Arts and Crafts Show May 9th at Pine Mountain Village from 9:00am to 5:00pm.  Only handmade items will be on display.  And for a weekend event like no other be sure to check out the 11th Annual Carving in the Ozarks this April 17th and 18th.  This chainsaw carving festival begins Friday morning with demonstrations all day and ends with an auction on Saturday at 4:00pm.

Right before the summer season kicks in, the town will celebrate the 2015 Eureka Springs Blues Weekend.  This year’s Blues event will happen June 18th through the 21st.  The lineup has yet to be announced but venues will include The Auditorium, The Barefoot Ballroom, Basin Spring Park and Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge.  VIP Passes will go on sale February 1st with individual tickets on sale April 1st.
