How to Get From Branson MO to Eureka Springs AR

Route 1 to Branson is along Missouri Route 86.  Total travel time is around 1 hour and 9 minutes and around 53 miles.  For a fun place to stop on your drive into Eureka Springs, check out Ridgedale, Missouri.  Soak in the amazing views at the Top of the Rock Lost Canyon Cave and Nature Trail.  The four-story cave boasts magnificent views of the waterfalls and natural rock formations.  There is even a bar located underneath the waterfall where they serve their signature drink the John L’s Lemonade.  Tours begin daily at 9:00 am.  While there, be sure to stretch your legs on the 2.5-mile guided nature trail with views of Table Rock Lake and across a 140-foot Amish bridge.

On Route 2 to Eureka Springs from Branson, drivers can take Arkansas Highway 21.  This drive is around 50 miles and can take around 1 hour and 9 minutes.  Along your drive, you will pass through Berryville, Arkansas.  Berryville is home to an abundance of outdoor recreation including hunting, fishing, and canoeing.  For a round of golf, check out the beautiful 9-hole course at the Carroll County Country Club.  The course is open to the public and features its signature hole #8 with trees and water behind the green.  When traveling with kids, check out Cosmic Caverns in Berryville.  This privately owned, natural cave is 64 degrees year-round and features 2 bottomless cave lakes.  The walking tours at the caverns take around 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete.  Other activities to enjoy when visiting include gem panning, a fossil dig, and a gift shop.

Once you arrive in Eureka Springs there is so much to see and do you’ll have a hard time deciding just where to begin.  There are activities throughout the downtown area including plenty of places to shop and grab a souvenir or a unique piece of artwork from the dozens of art galleries around the Historic District.  Families will enjoy seeing big cats at the Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge or take in a play at The Great Passion Play performed at the outdoor amphitheater from May to October.  There are also quite a few must-see attractions like Eureka Springs Thorncrown Chapel, the Christ of the Ozarks statue, and the Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church.
