Activities in Branson, MO for a Day Trip

If you haven’t spent the day in Branson, Missouri, you have no idea what you are missing.  Just about an hour drive from Eureka Springs, the town of Branson is hip and happening and makes a great location for a quick day trip.  Activities in Branson, MO include museums, a theme park, a zoo, a winery, shopping, dining and much more.  With so much to offer, you’ll have to experience the town more than once to get it all done!

To start your day in Branson, head over to Branson’s Promised Land Zoo.  This 9-acre family owned and operated park is a fun experience for the whole family.  Kids will enjoy getting up close and personal with the animals at the live shows taking place 4 different times throughout the day.  Tours around the zoo typically last around 2 hours.  Tickets are $19.95 for adults, $11.95 for children and $16.95 for seniors.  Tickets can be purchased online and picked up at the box office.

Another activity for all ages is the Titanic Museum located on Country Boulevard and Hwy 165.  Visitors will be welcomed aboard the Titanic and handed a ticket with the name of a passenger that was on the Titanic.  You’ll be able to see if the passenger’s name that you were given either survived or died on the Titanic.  There are exhibits on board displaying over 400 authentic artifacts.  Guests will also enjoy walking the famous Grand Staircase.  Kids will love the interactive children’s area and gift shop.  The tour takes around 2 hours to complete.

Silver Dollar City is definitely a must-see attraction on your visit to Branson.  Silver Dollar City is home to 40 rides, Marvel Cave, the Frisco Silver Dollar Line Steam Train and the Showboat Branson Belle.  The park is a blast for the whole family with over 40 live shows throughout the park daily.  The park is also home to White Water waterpark.  The park sits offers 13-acres of rides and slides and a 500,000 gallon wave pool.  The Showboat Branson Belle is a 2-hour dinner cruise that takes guests on a ride around Table Rock Lake.  The evening includes a 3-course meal and a show.

If the adults head to Branson for the day, check out Stone Hill Winery on Hwy 165 just 2 blocks south of The Strip.  From May to October, they are open from 8:30am to 7:30pm and then until 8:00pm on the weekends.  Stone Hill owns 7 vineyards and offers guests tours to experience the wine making process.  The tours take around 1 hour to complete and end with a free tasting.  Upcoming events at the winery include their 50 year Anniversary Dinner on June 26th.  A tasting will begin at 6:00pm followed by a 3-course wine dinner at 7:30pm.  Seating is limited.
