20th Annual Eureka Springs Mustang Show

The town of Eureka Springs Arkansas is no stranger to car shows happening throughout the year. From the Annual Eureka Springs Antique Automobile Festival occurring each September to Corvette weekend that happens every October, there is always an event on the calendar for car enthusiasts. Coming May 24th, the Eureka Springs Mustang Show returns for its 20th year. Since 1994, spectators have come out to the Pine Mountain Village to share in the love of the Ford Mustang. This all day event will feature goodie bags, cash prizes, trophies and a DJ. The event is also just in time to celebrate Mustang’s 50th birthday. The Ford Mustang was introduced back in April of 1964. Over the years, the car has seen many changes and is currently on its fifth generation. The newest Mustang, the sixth generation, will make its debut in showrooms in November of 2014.
Since 2008, Jim and Terri Post have been hosting this event. They are not only residents of Eureka Springs, but Mustang owners themselves. There is no charge for visitors to come out and enjoy the cars. Whether you are in the market to buy a Mustang or just love car shows, all are invited to attend. The show will feature Mustang’s from a variety of years and also those that have been restored and customized and are ready to race. A favorite event each year is the parade of Mustang’s. The streets are lined with cheering crowds as the cars make their way through the Historic District.
May is also home to another annual car show. The 2nd Annual Eureka Springs Camaro Fest and Car Show will take place on May 17th. This event will be held in the Village at Pine Mountain and is hosted by the NWA Camaro Club. For its second year, the event hopes to bring even more people and more cars for spectators to enjoy. A $25.00 registration fee will be charged upon arrival. The event is not only a time to come out and enjoy friends and cars; it is also a fundraiser for Toys for Tots. No matter the size or dollar amount, those attending the show are encouraged to bring a toy to the fundraiser.
