The Wineries of Eureka Springs

Eureka Springs has two wineries. Visiting them and tasting some of the wine there is a great thing to do in Eureka Springs when you come into town to visit. Here is a little information about the wineries to get you started.

Keels Creek Winery, 3185 E Van Buren: The vines are located in the hills above Keels Creek, south on Rock House Road about 3 miles from the city limits of Eureka Springs. Eight acres of land planted in 2004 and 2005 now contains eight varieties of grapes.

Owners Dr Doug Hausler and his wife Edwige Denyszyn produce about 2000 cases. The couple enjoys being a boutique winery, focused on local grapes harvested from their vineyard and other local vineyards.

The taste room and retail wine sales are located in the Spanish-style building that is shared with Keels Creek Art Gallery (at the address listed above). The spacious gallery is an open and expansive, ideal for art viewing while enjoying a glass of local wine. You can also relax by the two massive stone fireplaces. The tasting room and gallery are open daily during the summer months from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Railway Winery, 4937 Hwy 187: Nestled in the Ozark hills, along the route of the historic M&NA line, Railway Winery is a small farm & winery owned and operated by Greg and Vicki Schneider. Their vineyard produces 14 varieties of grapes and several fruits, and therefore they offer a wide selection of wines. Come and sample the wines and enjoy the quaint atmosphere. Bring a picnic lunch and soak in the scenic surroundings. The Railway winery is also available for group functions and special events. Located eight miles north of Eureka Springs, near the historic Beaver Bridge and beautiful Table Rock Lake. Winery and tasting room are open Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5:00 p.m.
