- Magnetic Spring: You can head to this historic spring on foot, which is only about a 10 minutes walk from our doorstep. There’s a large pavilion here, perfect for a picnic lunch by the flowing waters of the spring.
- Grotto Spring: Also an easily walkable route from our Inn, this springs really stands up to its name as a picturesque cave with lush hanging plants and a mysterious arched entrance.
- Harding Spring: This spring may be one of the most famous in the area with legends of healing dating back to the 1880s. The story goes that a young blind woman’s sight was restored by the waters of this spring. It’s a particularly lovely backdrop for photos, as the area outside the spring has been planted out with beautiful native flowers.
- Sweet Spring: Right near downtown Eureka Springs, you can pop off the Main Street to check out this small spring with historic stone work and a water-filled basin.
- Laundry Spring: Also known as Onyx Cave, this spring has a rich history connecting to the town and industry of the area. In 1922, the area around the spring was restored and it’s still a lovely spot to visit and sit for a quiet afternoon.
- Rock House Spring: This spring’s past brings us into the Civil War era, where a local doctor was known to use the healing waters to treat both Union and Confederate soldiers that were injured in the war.
- Crescent Spring: Just next to the historic 1912 Carnegie Library in the Crescent Spring Park, you’ll find a Victorian-style gazebo perfect for a quiet moment surrounded by natural rock walls.
- Calif Spring: At the South end of downtown Eureka Springs next to the Historical Museum sits this rocky little spring designated by the city in 1886.
Explore the Historic Springs Along the Harmon Park Loop Trail
One way to hit some of the historic springs sights and take a nice scenic walk around Eureka Springs is the Harmon Park Loop. It’s an easy 1.4 mile loop perfect for strolling, biking or hiking through shady paths in Harmon Park, Spring Garden and directs you towards the historic neighborhood on Upper Spring Street for architectural viewing.
