Birdie a few holes at these Eureka Springs Golf Courses

Picturesque views of the Ozark Mountains and challenging fairways are just a few reasons to visit local Eureka Springs golf courses.  Because of the mild temperatures of the region, the courses are ideal throughout all seasons.  The lush green trees in the summer to the changing leaves in the fall, each season is unique to experience the views of the courses.  From public to semi-private clubs and 9-hole to 18-hole courses, there is a Eureka Springs golf course for every experience level and budget.

Holiday Island Country Club, just five miles from Eureka Springs, is an 18-hole championship golf course.  In addition to the 18-hole championship course, there is also a 9-hole executive course and a driving range with views of the Ozark Hills.  The terrain of the course has been left in its natural setting with rolling hills and narrow tree lined fairways.  The Holiday Island Country Club is open year round.  Mild winters allow golfing in every month out of the year.  The stunning scenery of the Ozark Mountains is another drawback that keeps golfers coming back round after round.

Located 11.54 miles from Eureka Springs is the Carroll County Country Club.   The Carroll County Country Club golf course was built in 1965 by designer Herman Hackbarth.  This 9-hole, semi-private course is open to the public for lunch and golf seven days a week from 10:00am to 3:00pm.   The combination of water, trees and wide fairways with tricky greens makes this a fun course to play.  The course rating is a 68.5-69.7.  On site facilities include a full service bar, dining area and club house.

A short 14.39 miles from Eureka Springs in Shell Knob, Missouri is the Kings River Golf Course.  Open to the public, this course is beautiful in all seasons with its many trees ever changing for stunning views along the way.  Family and single memberships are available for unlimited golf.  Events are held throughout the year including social events and night golf.  There is also an area called The Porch which is great for enjoying a beverage and the scenery.

The Cassville Golf Club in Cassville, Missouri is 18.69 miles from Eureka Springs, Arkansas.  This course began as nine holes in 1965 but later expanded in 1988 to its current 18 holes.  The Cassville course was recognized by the Kansas City Star as one of the ten finest public golf courses in Missouri.  There are daily, weekly and monthly events offered at the club.  These special events are great for men, women and children.  The club is open from March through October with varying hours for winter and summer.  The course is closed on Wednesdays until 3:00pm for mowing and ball retrieval.  Cart rentals are available for both 9 and 18-hole rounds.

Make a weekend out of your golf getaway and check out one of Eureka Springs area bed and breakfasts.  Arsenic and Old Lace is ideal for those last minute trips and is also a pet friendly environment.  This local bed and breakfast offers five guest rooms each unique in their own way.  Relax and unwind in the Patio Room complete with private entrance overlooking the courtyard patio.  The Monet Room offers a private balcony with beautiful views of the surrounding Ozark hills.  Each room has a seasonal fireplace and private bathroom.  To check availability and current specials, visit their website at www.eurekaspringsromancebb.com.
