For the past 47 years, the Great Passion Play has been a popular tourist attraction in Eureka Springs. Telling the Greatest Story Ever Told, the Great Passion Play has become America’s #1 Attended Outdoor Drama according to the Institute of Outdoor Theatre and Drama of East Carolina University at Greenville. From May through October, performances begin nightly at 8:30 pm. The show is performed by a cast of over 170 actors and live animals at the outdoor amphitheater. America’s Most Haunted Hotel, The Crescent Hotel, offers nightly ghost tours beginning at 8:00 pm. Tours last around 75 minutes and are ideal for kids ages 8 and up. A more family friendly tour is offered at 7:00 pm for those with younger children seeking to find ghosts. Tickets are $21.50 per person for adults and $12.50 for children under 12. It is highly recommended to purchase tickets online ahead of time as they do sell out quickly.
Join Sean-Paul and Julian Fay at Intrigue Theater on Mountain Street for a one-of-a-kind show. The Illusionist and the Medium combine magic, illusion and guests from the other side in this nightly show. The theater seats 75 guests so it is recommended to purchase tickets early. They also offer a more intimate 1-hour show for 16 guests. Shows begin at 8:00 pm and will leave you scratching your head and wanting more.
The streets of the Historic District come to life at night with many of the bars and restaurants offering live music and entertainment inside or on the patio. For the 21 and over crowd, check out Lucky 7 Billiards on the 6th floor of The Basin Park Hotel. They offer billiards and TV’s for watching your favorite sports. Chelsea’s Corner Café and Bar offers live music 5 nights a week. Their bar is open from 11:00 pm to 2:00 am Monday through Saturday and until midnight on Sundays. Jack’s Place on Spring Street offers live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. They are a full-service bar with large dance floor.
For a family-friendly show, check out the Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down. Their upcoming shows include Roving Gamler July 9th through the 11th, We R Called The Lisemby’s July 16th through the 18th and One More Rod July 16th through the 18th. They offer group discounts and teen discounts for kids ages 12 to 19. Tickets are $17.00 and doors open at 6:30 pm. This is a great show for all ages.
