As we know, Eureka means, “I have found (it).” The expression first gained fame when Archimedes exclaimed it thousands of years ago, and has since been widely used. Our town of Eureka Springs was named by Burton (Buck) Saunders: the discovery he was referring to were the healing waters of the natural springs here. Certainly the waters were the reason people had first been drawn to the area, and why they stayed (along with the fabulous hunting, fishing, and of course beauty of the place).
