Eureka Springs 13th Annual Antique Show

Eureka Springs in the Spring time?  Let me count the ways…March 20th-22nd is time for the 13th Annual Antique Show.  There will be over fifty-five dealers traveling from 14 states.  The events starts on Friday night with a wine and cheese preview reception starting at 5:30 p.m. Tickets for the reception are $10 and include admission to the antique show for the rest of the weekend. If you skip the reception and just come to the show, admission is $2.50 for adults; ages 12 years and younger are admitted free of charge.  The show is held at the Best Western Inn of the Ozarks on U.S. 62 West. More than 50 dealers show a variety of large and small antiques.

Go Fly a Kite…and visit an Eureka Springs Inn March 28th

Kites, kites, and more kites! The 19th Annual Eureka Springs Kite Festival will be held at Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, truly an event for all ages. Bring your cameras as this is a true photo opportunity. Kite flying clubs from Kansas City, Tulsa, Little Rock and others will be on hand to share in the fun. Bring your own kite or make one one-site with a $3.00 to the Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge.

After you have had all the excitement that you can handle, check out the Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge and visit the lions, tigers, and bears…oh my! There are currently about 120 wild animals at the refuge and feeding time at is an event not to be missed. Every day, over 1000 pounds of meat is fed to the cats. This is a time to really get to know the large cats and experience true power of these big cats; hear the low growl of the tigers, high pitched screams of the cougars, and caroling of the lions. Feeding times after mid March will be about 5 p.m. We encourage you to call ahead to ensure you do not miss any of the excitement. Also, take the time to go on a guided ½ mile walking tour that leaves every hour on the hour starting at 11 A.M.
