Have you fallen in love with ‘Pawn Stars,’ ‘American Pickers’ and ‘Antiques Road Show’? I know I have. I keep on hoping I’m gonna find a Renoir amongst a box of junk at a yard sale or someone’s journal from 100 years ago at a book sale.

Well, if you love history, antiques or simply old things, than this upcoming event might be of interest. From Friday, Nov. 16 thru Sunday, Nov. 18 at the Western Inn of the Ozarks Convention Center, enjoy the 24th Annual Fall Antique show and sale.

October 19-20, 26-27, 2012 Voices from Eureka’s Silent City

Actress playing Civil War role

Voices from Eureka’s Silent City includes “Living HIstory” actors portraying the lives of citizens affected by the Civil War.

5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday & Saturdays
These popular and educational cemetery tours bring to life the voices of Eureka Springs’ past. The setting and timing before Halloween is just right as the days grow shorter and we settle into autumn. Sponsored by the Eureka Springs Historical Museum, the tours will focus on Civil War veterans and their lives after they returned to Eureka Springs.

Live costumed actors will perform the “Living History” of the tour, playing the roles of veterans and survivors and telling their stories. Truly, these actors breathe life into the experiences of those who lived through the Civil War. It brings a much more personal perspective to events which are often hidden by the dry facts and figures of historical records.

Another highlight of the tours will be Doug Kidd’s demonstrations within an exhibit of a Civil War surgery tent. It will be an informative presentation which will also make you greatly appreciate the wonders of modern medicine!

There’s no parking at the cemetery, but shuttles will take visitors to the cemetery from the parking lot at the Victoria Inn (4028 East Van Buren on Highway 62).

Admission & Tickets
Tours are one hour and 15 minutes. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. You can purchase tickets from the Eureka Springs Historical Museum (95 S. Main St.), the Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce (516 Village Circle Drive), or at any Cornerstone bank. If you don’t pre-purchase you ticket, don’t worry. You can also buy a ticket right at the parking lot. For more information on Voices from Eureka’s Silent City 2012, please visit EurekaSpringsHistoricalMuseum.org/fall-voices-tour.

Eureka Springs is a place that fosters and celebrates the arts. Whether it’s a jamboree of traditional Ozarks music or a local food and wine festival, Eureka Springs cultural events inspire and delight the senses. Near the end of September, there will be two events in Eureka Springs: one to enchant the eyes and the other, to bring music to your ears…

Eureka Springs Artists Studio Tour

This free self-guided tour gives you four days to explore Eureka Springs’ artist studios. The Studio Tour opens on Thursday with a number of artists’ demonstrations:

9 am to 4 pm - Terry Russell will demonstrate pit firing ceramics.

10 am to 1 pm - Lorna Trigg will show you how to build a drum.

1 to 2 pm - Chon Stanley will create a pendant.

2 to 4 pm - Craig Hirsch will make an ocarina (clay flute) and then demonstrate how to tune it.

This annual Eureka Springs event showcases local artists working in a variety of media and styles. There’s nothing quite like a studio tour. Eureka Springs BB special touches

Quality B&Bs such as our Eureka Springs, AR inn add personal touches to make your stay special.

Guests who have experienced our Eureka Springs B&B know we love providing the distinctive hospitality that only a quality bed & breakfast inn can give. Unfortunately, not everyone realizes how luxurious, convenient, varied, and relaxing a stay at a B&B inn can be.

The Personal Touch
Bed & breakfast innkeepers are a detail-oriented breed. They think about every aspect of a guest’s stay. It’s not just a matter of making sure the room is clean (although they certainly do!) They actually care for their guests. They’re flexible about what each individual needs and they go out of their way to provide pampering if it’s wanted and privacy if that’s preferred. Great innkeepers don’t just provide lodging and food. They’re also your helpful concierge who can schedule your cab, a massage, a day trip to the best local attractions. They know their town and area by heart and are happy to share the local favorites and history. B&B innkeepers provide a warm welcome and a fond farewell that simply don’t happen at any other type of lodging.

Great Food
Think of the last time you stayed at so-called budget lodgings. Do you remember the “continental breakfast”? If you were lucky, you (more…)
