The 2012 Eureka Springs Studio Tour features arts and crafts in just about every medium, including clay flutes!

Eureka Springs is a place that fosters and celebrates the arts. Whether it’s a jamboree of traditional Ozarks music or a local food and wine festival, Eureka Springs cultural events inspire and delight the senses. Near the end of September, there will be two events in Eureka Springs: one to enchant the eyes and the other, to bring music to your ears…

Eureka Springs Artists Studio Tour

This free self-guided tour gives you four days to explore Eureka Springs’ artist studios. The Studio Tour opens on Thursday with a number of artists’ demonstrations:

9 am to 4 pm - Terry Russell will demonstrate pit firing ceramics.

10 am to 1 pm - Lorna Trigg will show you how to build a drum.

1 to 2 pm - Chon Stanley will create a pendant.

2 to 4 pm - Craig Hirsch will make an ocarina (clay flute) and then demonstrate how to tune it.

This annual Eureka Springs event showcases local artists working in a variety of media and styles. There’s nothing quite like a studio tour. Delfeayo Marsalis

2012 Jazz Eureka in Eureka Springs
All weekend, local and regional jazz artists will fill downtown Basin Park with music. The concerts in the park are free. Come to the park to enjoy the music and the friendly crowd.

The headlining act for Jazz Eureka 2012 is American jazz trombonist, Delfeayo Marsalis. His Saturday, September 22, 2012 concert at The Auditorium will begin at 7:30 pm. Tickets for the Delfeayo Marsalis Quartet at Jazz Eureka are available at TheAud.org.

    Super cool. I love artists studio tours; as an artist myself, I enjoy the environment, techniques, and works of other creatives. I especially love that a few of these artists demonstrations are in learning how to make musical instruments such as drums and flutes; what a great way to spend a day.My name is Marc, and aside from my appreciation of all things art and music, I also work for Bescover — where we love all things B&B!
