The annual Banjo Rally International has celebrated the traditional music of the Ozarks since 1975. Come to the convention facilities at the Best Western Inn of the Ozarks & Convention Center at 207 W. Van Buren in Eureka Springs. There and at other local venues, you’ll have an opportunity to see shows and jam sessions and to socialize at parties and banquets. Vendors will also be selling instruments, music, and other related supplies for the banjo enthusiast.

Plectrum and tenor banjos with four strings are the main instruments featured among the festival’s players, but you’ll also see musicians of other stringed instruments such as the five-string banjo, ukulele, guitar and mandolin. There’s tremendous variety and creativity among Ozarks music, so don’t be surprised by individuals and groups playing string bass, stumpf fiddle, washboards and even some clarinets and brass.

The 2012 Banjo Rally Headliner is none other than Rob Wright, a seasoned musician who began his love affair with the banjo at age 10. The Special Guest Performers for the 2012 Banjo Rally are Tyler Jackson, The New Orleans Krewe, Nathan Hannah, and Bob Alexius. Below is the current 2012 Banjo Rally Schedule:
